John Bare Obituary
John Wesley Bare, 77, of Columbus, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2024, at his daughter’s home. John was born on November 10, 1947, in Columbus, the son of the late William Willis and Bertha (Genheimier) Bare.
John is survived by his son, Jason (Nikki) Bare of Logan; daughter, Stacie (Michael Webster) Bare of Reynoldsburg; grandchildren, Zachary (Alaina) Bare, Joe Bare-Webster, Ethan Bare, Gage Webster, Kira Stufflebeam, and Emma DeLong; great grandson, Oliver Bare; brothers, Ronnie (Denise) Bare, Donnie (Deanna) Bare, and Chuck (Eleanor) Bare; and sisters, Helen Burwell and Brenda (Hiney) Hall.
John was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Leah Jean (Bentley) Bare; brother, William “Hop” Bare Sr; and brother-in-law, Pete Burwell.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St, McArthur, with Sandra Denney, Elder officiating. Interment will follow in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Family and friends may visit from 12 to 2 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
