John Grady Bentley

John Grady Bentley, age 52, of Canton, Georgia, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025. He was born on September 6, 1973, in Marietta, Georgia.
John had a generous heart and would do anything he could for anyone. He was a loving husband and father who adored his children and took great pride in his family. John loved his work as a heavy equipment operator and landscaper, especially creating waterfalls and outdoor spaces. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was proud of restoring his 1974 Ford pickup. He also volunteered at a haunted house in Holly Springs, where his humor and silly side truly came out, and his passion was unmatched in making sure everyone experienced the thrill and had a great time.
John will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His generous spirit, love for life, and dedication to others will be remembered always.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Bentley; children, Leeland Bentley and Annalee Bentley; brother, Phillip William Bentley; grandmother, Alma Purcell; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service.
