John Lesley Bierman, of Elcho, died on June 4, 2025 at Rosalia Gardens. He was 68 years old. He was born on November 1, 1956 in Antigo, a son of George and Myrtle (Kidd) Bierman.
John was a long distance truck driver, starting his career at Karl's Transport in Antigo. Eventually he bought his own truck and started working as a self-employed trucker. A long time truck driver, he was given many safety awards and was never in an accident. He spent a lot of time on the road trucking with his 2nd wife, Barbara Mooney.
He loved fishing, hunting, and watching his trail cam. John was a dog lover, and enjoyed seeing his sister Ruth's dogs when she came to visit.
Survivors include two sons, Steven Bierman of Polar and Jessie Bierman of Antigo; daughter-in-law, Noella Bierman of Antigo; five grandchildren, Lonnie Welke, Devon Bierman, Mariah Bierman, Caden Bierman, and Levi Bierman; great-grandchild, Hazel Welke; two sisters, Ruth (David Marcott) Bera of Holcombe and Virginia Bierman of Antigo; a niece, Kathy (Walter) Campbell of Antigo; 2nd wife, Barbara Mooney; and long-time friend, Jayne Rifenberg.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Kendall; brother, George Bierman; and 1st wife, Veronica Widder.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 11, at 11 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home with Chaplain Jim Hartleben officiating. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. and on Wednesday, June 11 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of John, please visit our Tree Store.
