Bill Page
September 27, 1953 - October 28, 2024
John William Page III, or Bill as he was known to most people, passed away on October 28th in Rochester, NY, after facing cancer and its complications with endurance and optimism.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, John William Page Jr, and his mother Evelyn (Jackson) Page. He is survived by his wife of almost 30 years, Dawn Marie (Heckleman) Page, his two daughters Laura Page and Christy Page-Koenigsberg, his son-in-law Braden Koenigsberg, his two grandchildren Millie and Teddy, his sister Mary (Page) VanSwearingen, his brother Bryan Page, and numerous loved ones and friends from all over the world.
Bill loved nothing more than being with his family. He especially loved making sure everyone had a good cup of coffee and a book to read. Going for long drives in the countryside with his wife or making dinosaur noises as “Grandpa Bucket” were some of his greatest joys.
He worked at a variety of places during his long career in quality. He was a nationally recognized expert in electronics manufacturing quality, having written some of the current standards. He particularly enjoyed his time at Roscoe, a school bus mirror company, and Alstom (Knorr), his final workplace.
Bill was also known for his love of music. From marching with the Hardin-Simmons Cowboy Band to directing or performing with multiple choirs, music played a defining role in his life. He loved a good hymn, a jazz band, or a folk music album, and enjoyed writing his own lyrics to his favorite tunes.
Though his passing coincided with his beloved Yankees losing the World Series, we know that ‘Bucky’ is now singing hymns with the angels.
No prior calling hours.
