John Dale Bilyeu passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023, after a long illness. He was born July 24, 1948 in Chadwick, Missouri, the son of Elmer and Pearl (House) Bilyeu.
John was saved at a young age and baptized in Swan Creek. He was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church. He graduated from Chadwick High School where he was very active in sports. He enjoyed watching all sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. He also enjoyed playing golf with his friends.
John served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970. He was deployed to Vietnam and was engaged in several campaigns there. He was awarded two Purple Hearts and many other medals.
John was united in marriage to Alice Kay Perriman on December 6, 1974, and they were together 47 years before her passing in 2022.
He was employed by Fasco in Ozark, Missouri for many years.
John was preceded in death by his parents; wife Kay; sister Shirley Westfall and her husband Jack.
He is survived by his son Jorden, a very close nephew Duane McDaniel and his wife Estera; brothers Donald, Gary, and Ernest Bilyeu; sister Cathey Idell and husband Clyde; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Graveside Funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 18, in Schupbach Cemetery in Chestnut Ridge.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Adams Funeral Home of Nixa, Missouri.
John 3:16: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
