He was predeceased by one sister, Helen E. McCardle; and his sister-in-law, Antoinette Chiarolanzio.

Before retiring, John had a career spanning over four decades with the Madison Borough Department of Public Works, holding several positions and ultimately becoming Superintendent of Public Works. He was a mentor to many colleagues throughout his career.
In his retirement John helped his son John Jr. on a daily basis at his business, CJ's Deli in Madison. John Sr. was a familiar face at CJ's and enjoyed spending time there with his son and his many lifelong friends. John embodied the spirit of friendship and generosity.

Johnny Blair.as he was known to so many who knew & loved him, will surely be missed.
His quiet "behind the scenes" manner, never masked the kind, BIG heart he had for all he loved in his world.
Jojo was "the love of his life", as was his son John, his daughter Mary Jo, and without a doubt, his "pride & Joy" his grandson Connor!
His "sacred place", his seat at CJ'S deli, will always be a "landmark" of rememberance of him, and his ever present "hello's," to all who entered.
If you mentioned his name to anyone, especially in Madison, you will surely see BIG SMILES, sad hearts, but memories many of us knew and loved him, will cherish forever!
Rest peacefully, Johnny..
Our love & friendship,
"Us Brady's "
