John was born on February 15, 1934 and passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017. John was a resident of Clear Lake, Iowa at the time of passing. He graduated from Titonka High School in 1952. The first couple years were spent in Fort Smith, Arkansas, where John served in the U.S. Army. Memorial services will be conducted at Zion Lutheran Church, 112 N. 4th St., Clear Lake, on August 12, 2017, with Pastor Steve Bang officiating. Inurnment will be at the Good Hope Lutheran Cemetery in Titonka at a later date. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, August 11, 2017, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. 4th St. Clear Lake.
