John Roman Bonkoski

John Roman Bonkoski, age 71, of Toledo, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo surrounded by loving family. He was born on April 5, 1954, in Toledo, Ohio, to Bernard and Evelyn (Sieja) Bonkoski. John was a 1972 graduate of St. John Jesuit High School and attended the University of Toledo. He was a semi-driver for UPS for 38 years, and a former member of Teamsters Local 20. He retired on October 29, 2011. John was a golfer in his younger years and even caddied at Inverness Golf Club. He also enjoyed building 1/8 scale model cars. He was a parishioner of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church.

John is survived by his brother, Michael (Emmy) Bonkoski; nephews, Joseph Crawford and Jonathan Bonkoski; aunt, Camillia Meek; cousins, Jim (Marsha) Szczerbiak, Connie Hoye, Cynthia Ryan, Karen Stykemain, Sandra Szymanski, Raymond Bonkoski, Veronica Smith, Julie Foley, John Meek, and Shelly Pomeroy; and loving companion of many years, Janet Redmann. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 30 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd., with sharing of memories beginning at 12 p.m. Inurnment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
