John Brady Obituary
October 7, 1925. He was one of six of six siblings raised by a widowed mother as his father passed away when he was a young child. John joined the Marines at 18, trained in Parris Island, SC and earned a Purple Heart in The Battle of Peleliu, WWII.
After the war, John earned a degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. While there he met he met Joan Higgins, a Mercy nursing student. They married and raised three daughters. John was an avid golfer and Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins fan. He had a quick wit, kind heart, and dearly loved his family.
John was a successful credit manager for Rockwell International and later Delta Power Tools. He was predeceased by Joan Higgins Brady 1984) and his second wife Emily (2024). John is survived by his three daughters, Peggy Kunka (Myron), Jean Lambl (Andy), and Mary Jo (John). He is also survived by four grandchildren, Matthew (Angela), Katie Payne (Ryan), Molly Stevens (Jessica), and Ryan as well as five great grandchildren.
The family held a private celebration of John's wonderful life at his favorite spot - Hoffstot's in Oakmont.
