Mr. Breda, 69, passed away on November 15, 2025, in the comfort of his home in Lake Charles, LA.
He was born on August 2, 1956, in Natchitoches, LA, to Henry Breda and Rose Fuss Breda.
He graduated from Barbe High School and went on to pursue a career in the Oil and Gas Industry for many years. He then started as a Shore Tankerman; a position he held for the next 20 years.
Mr. Breda married Sara Areli Cantarero, with whom he found true love and happiness.
John was best known for his advocacy for gardening. He truly had a passion for his home garden. Other than gardening, John could often be found at his favorite fishing spot relaxing and enjoying the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Sara Areli Cantarero Breda; son, Jonathon Breda (Rachel); sister, Judy Parks, and grandchildren, Myles and Bodhi Breda.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Rose Fuss Breda.
Mr. Breda’s family has chosen to honor his wishes of cremation under the direction of Simple Traditions by Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
