John Brodel Obituary

Born in South River, NJ, John graduated from South River High School in 1957 and Rider College with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce in 1962. He served in the United States Air Force as a First Lieutenant from 1962 to 1966. John and Carole lived in Hamilton after previously living in California, Florida and Willingboro, New Jersey. They enjoyed traveling, trips to Atlantic City with their children and friends and dining out. In the years before passing, John still enjoyed video poker at the casinos and playing cards with friends and family.
Predeceased by his parents John W. and Stella (Mieszkowski) and his beloved wife of 44 years, Carole (Downing) Brodel; he is survived by his daughter, Erin Brodel of Hamilton; his sons, Steven Brodel of Lawrence, and Greg Brodel of Hamilton; his grandchildren, Mackenzie Grace Brodel and Gavin Wyatt Brodel, and former daughter-in-law, Denise (DeGroat) Brodel.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ, with a funeral service to begin at 11:00 a.m.
Interment and military honors will follow at Princeton Memorial Park, 403 Gordon Road, Robbinsville, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in John's memory to Serenity Hospice by visiting In Memory Of at inmemof.org.

So very sorry to learn of your Dad's passing. John and I were coworkers and also very good friends. We kept in touch, and I will miss him very much.
