Farmington – John R. Campbell, age 88, passed away peacefully, on Monday, March 30, 2026, after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Donna Campbell; two sons, Jason Campbell and Eric Campbell; brother, Allan (Nancy) Campbell; two nephews and a niece; his canine companions, Phoenix and Maggie. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Karen Wicks; and brother-in-law, Edwin Wicks.

John was born in Blossburg, PA and was the son of John R. and Margaret (Lloyd) Campbell. He attended Blossburg schools and was a graduate of Blossburg High School, class of 1957. John was a US Army veteran and served in Korea from 1963-1964. He formerly worked for Eastman Kodak Co. and retired from General Motors in 2003 after 30 years there.

John enjoyed working in his yard, NASCAR and was a Dale Ernhardt fan. He also enjoyed sports, especially baseball and football and the LA Dodgers and Green Bay Packers were his teams. John loved spending time with his family, friends and his dogs.

A cemetery service with military honors will be held Saturday, April 11, at 11am, at Woodlawn Cemetery, 130 N. Pearl St., Canandaigua. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ontario Co. Humane Society, 2976 Co. Rd. 48, Canandaigua, NY 14424 or Humane Society of Greater Rochester at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Rd., Fairport, NY 14450. Arrangements are by Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, Inc., Canandaigua. Condolences may be offered at www.johnsonkennedy.com.
