I fondly remember Mr. Davis from my time at Sealth (Class of ´76). I worked all three years in the Bookroom (supplied textbooks, office supplies, etc to the classrooms and school office). He was one of a few faculty that would often visit there on their breaks and chat with Mrs. Stenberg who ran the Bookroom, so as with the others that visited, I got to see a side of them outside of how they were in front of their class. By this time, Mr. Davis was the Activity Coordinator. I do well remember him being "witty and kind", and in fact, in looking him up in my yearbooks since I couldn´t recall his actual job title, (just knew he was an "office person" by then and no longer a teacher), was reminded of his wit in seeing his signature in my ´75 yearbook. He wrote: "...it´s been a rare experience...". I recall him, while he was writing it out, jokingly asking "How do you spell `sh***y...?'". I´m happy to hear that he lived such a full and satisfying life. Condolences to all of his loved ones... -Mike Stahl, Seattle.

James & Janie Starkey
April 19, 2023
My wife Janie) and I had Mr. Davis for Senior Advanced Literature at Chief Sealth High School in 1966. He was a dynamic teacher who inspired his students and helped them to really understand the curriculum. We thoroughly enjoyed each day in his class, debating and interacting, and were sorry to see the class end at graduation. We are very saddened by the news of his passing. :-(
