John C. Carter, aged 94, of Mason, Ohio, passed away on February 27, 2025, with his beloved wife, Vonda, by his side. He was born on November 6, 1930, to the late James Marion and Cora Susan (Robins) Carter, being the youngest of nine siblings. John graduated from Mason High School and later obtaining a bachelor’s degree. A proud veteran of World War II, John served honorably in the United States Army. After returning from service, John had a successful career in management at Brighton Corporation in Sharonville, Ohio, from which he eventually retired. Throughout his life, John was a dedicated member of Grace Baptist Church, where he served as the property manager and treasurer during his retirement years. His deep commitment to his faith community was evident and will be fondly remembered by those he served alongside. John is survived by his devoted wife, Vonda (Biggs) Carter; children Cynthia Lashley, Angela Justice and James Timothy Carter; as well as 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren, with one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents; children Mike Carter, Steve Carter and Don Carter, along with 8 siblings. Visitation will be held at Grace Baptist Church, located at 5595 Mason Rd, Mason, Ohio, on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 10:00AM to 11:30AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM. Burial will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery in Mason, Ohio. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Grace Baptist mission team in Tanzania.
