John Castor Obituary

John David Castor, known by many as "Jack", passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024 at Jefferson Einstein Montgomery Hospital with partner Ron and loving friends at his bedside. Born in Berwyn, John was the son of the late Joe Castor and the late Patricia Clark, the life partner for the past 38 years of Ron Boxer, the brother of the late Patrina Harding, the uncle of Patrina's son Alistair Harding and the cousin of Diane Polite.
"Jack" was a graduate of Lower Merion High School, Class of 1975 and went on to become a store manager for Church's English Shoes at their King of Prussia location. Due to his health problems, he had to retire from Church's in 2002. He loved gardening, music and dancing and was an inspiration to all with his determination to live, his friends even called him "Ironman"! He will surely be missed by his many friends who will remember his big heart and infectious smile.
Relatives and friends are invited to The Bernard S. Gutkowski Funeral Home, 305 Jefferson Street, Swedesburg, Upper Merion Twp., PA 19405, 610-275-6385, www.gutkowskifuneralhome.com, Keith J. Murphy, F.D., on Saturday, November 23, 2024, where there will be a calling time from 2 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. and a time of sharing starting at 3:30 p.m. The family would greatly appreciate memorial donations to Gofund.me/c1307126
