John is preceded in death by wife Terri Cauthron.
He is survived by sons Richard and Cheryl Sims, Bob Sims, and Greg and Katherine Sims. 9 Grandchildren, and 10 Great Grandchildren
John previously worked for Lafferty's in Texarkana. He was an active member of the Elks Lodge in Texarkana AR. People always remembered meeting John because of the unique ability he had for making you laugh.
John is being cremated under the direction of Queen City Funeral Home in Queen City TX.
