John Cipriano

John Cipriano, 98, of Mendon, MA passed away peacefully on March 20, 2025 surrounded by his loving family after a lengthy battle with cancer and Alzheimers. Born on May 31, 1926, son of Michele Cipriano and Santa Massaro, John lived a life defined by love, service, and devotion to family.
A proud veteran, John honorably served in the Pacific Theater during World War II, demonstrating bravery and dedication to his country. Following his military service, he built a life as an entrepreneur of his own television repair business, Metropolitan TV, with a life centered around hard work, kindness, and unwavering commitment to those he loved.
John was a devoted husband to Cecile Cipriano for 55 wonderful years, a bond built on love and partnership. He was a cherished father to Leslie and Jason McGovern of Mendon, MA; Lisa and Chris Newton of Mendon, MA, Steven Cipriano of Attleboro, MA, John Cipriano of North Providence, RI John Czerwein and Ada Diaz of Lincoln, RI, Michael and Cindy Czerwein of San Antonio, TX, and Linda and Joe Lapan of Pawtucket, RI and predeceased by his daughter Mary Cipriano, sister Jenny Caranci, and sister Marion DeSouza. His legacy continues through his beloved 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren all of whom brought him immense joy.
Johns warmth, wisdom, and generosity touched the lives of many. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at the Presentation Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, North Providence, to honor and celebrate Johns life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Alzheimer's Association, 245 Waterman Street, Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906
