Funeral services for John Robert Claunch, 74, of Cleburne, Texas will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, October 12, 2023 at the Cleburne First Seventh-day Adventist Church.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Rosser Funeral Home.
John Robert Claunch passed away Friday, October 6, 2023 in Cleburne. He was born September 16, 1949 in Fort Worth, Texas to Mary Ethel (Long) and Robert Lee Claunch. He married Sharon Williams on December 8, 1977 in Fort Worth. They met at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Worth where they worked together for many years.
Mr. Claunch was a retired buyer for Texas Health Resources and a member of Cleburne Seventh-day Adventist Church. He enjoyed playing softball and being an umpire. John was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roy Claunch; daughter-in-law, Apryl Muncy; and great grandson, Josiah Taylor.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Sharon Claunch of Cleburne; sons, John Andrew Claunch and wife, Misty of Little Rock, Arkansas and Robert Muncy of Golden, Colorado; daughters, Pamela Hooper and husband, Herbert of Fort Worth, Kelly Thatcher and husband, Tommy of Denver, Colorado, and Jennifer Muncy and husband Terry of Berthoud, Colorado; adopted son, Donnie Finchum of Stephenville; eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; brother, Ed Claunch and wife, Pat of Willow Park; many other extended family and friends.
