Graveside services for John Collins, age 57, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Mt. Gilead Cemetery, Vivian, LA with Barry Headrick officiating.
Mr. Collins was born on January 25, 1968 in Shreveport, LA to his biological parents, John D. Collins and Betty Mae Wingo and passed away September 14, 2025 in Texarkana, TX. He was a resident of Hosston, LA most of his life, an avid hunter and fisherman, who loved nascar and westerns. Mr. Collins was a truck driver and mechanic who worked hard all of his life.
Mr. Collins is preceded in death by his brother, Jeffery “Roe” Collins. Left to cherish his memory are his parents who loved and raised him, Clarence and Betty Mae Voss; his 5 children, Daniel Allen, Johnny Collins, Holly Collins, Rebecca Collins and Ashley Collins, and 14 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Chuck Collins, sister, Jeannie Kopinski and brother-in-law, James Camp.
