I am going to miss John so much here at Lyndon. He was always a pleasure to chat with and I looked forward to our conversations whenever he would pop by my office or I'd catch him in the halls. I know he was so excited to graduate this Spring. My condolences to his family and friends as this is such a big loss for all <3

I was classmates with John in several classes at VTSU. He always had so much to bring to our classes. His passion, love, and dedication for his work was always clear. On the first day of the fall 2025 semester, we had lunch together on campus and talked. John frequently worked on assignments in the student annex in the psychology wing of our campus, and I would often stop to talk with him or say goodbye to him before I left campus. I loved talking to him both in class and outside of class. We chatted over lunch a couple times. Throughout the semester, we talked about various things: class projects, the state of the world, how things were going for both of us, and I always cherished these moments. I always will cherish them. John was such a brightly shining light in our program and I will miss him dearly. Rest easy, John. My heart goes out to all of John´s friends, family, and loved ones. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to get to know John and to have had him as a classmate.

I had the privilege of knowing John through VTSU, and I feel incredibly grateful that our paths crossed. John was one of those rare people who showed up fully-to conversations, to learning, and to the people around him. He had a natural way of making others feel heard and valued, not by trying to be impressive, but by being genuinely curious and kind. In classrooms and everyday moments alike, John listened deeply and asked thoughtful questions because he truly wanted to understand more and connect with others.

John brought a quiet but powerful positivity into every space he entered. He carried himself with openness, humility, and warmth, and it was impossible not to feel better after spending time with him. His love of learning and his dedication to helping others were evident in everything he did, and they served as a reminder of what it means to live with intention and compassion. John inspired those around him to be more inquisitive, more patient, and more kind.

I will carry the lessons John modeled-curiosity, generosity, and genuine care-for many years to come. His impact is lasting, and his presence will be deeply missed. I am thankful to have known him and to have shared space with such a meaningful soul. Rest peacefully, John.

I´m a psychology student here at VTSU Lyndon and got to know John in and outside classes. His kindness was unparalleled, and his dedication to learning and growing as a person inspiring. It was an honor to hear the tales he would share with the class, all containing bits of wisdom. I learned a lot from him, and enjoyed hearing his perspective on whatever we were covering in class. He will be greatly missed.

I was a psychology student at VTSU alongside John and I had the privilege to work with him at our college internship. John was a kind, open, and curious person. He never failed to bring positive energy into any room he entered and always wanted to know about your day. I´ve found that there are very few people who are good at making you feel heard and John was one of them. Whether it was in class or conversation, he´d always have a question to ask because he wanted to know more. John, you´ve inspired me to be inquisitive and kind and I will carry that inspiration for many years to come. Rest in peace.

I attended VTSU Lyndon alongside John and knew John as one of the kindest people in every classroom. He gave into every conversation with a whole heart and mind. He always spoke about giving his time to the people in his community. I write this with a deep and heavy heart. John, your imprint is unforgettable and it is heartbreaking to know I will not be able to chat with you by the school pond. I´m so grateful our paths crossed, you brightened all the corners in every room I had with you. And I will always thank you for your kindness.
