Marian Baker

Marian Swann Baker, 92, lifelong resident of Roxbury VT, died Friday, December 19, 2025. Born on May 24, 1933 in Northfield VT, she was the daughter of Walter and Loretta (Hebert) Swann. She graduated from Northfield High School in 1952. She worked at Rabbit Hollow Knitting Mill and later made a career as a seamstress. Survivors include her son Scott Baker and daughter Tina (Jeffrey) Young; grandsons Eric Young (Rachel), Jacob Young (Juliana), Alex Young (Sarah); twin great grandchildren Owen and Peyton Young; brother Robert Swann and sister Patricia Swann. She was predeceased by her parents and brothers Richard and George Swann. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church on Vine Street in Northfield where her funeral will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2025. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St John the Evangelist Church. A committal service will take place in the spring at Calvary Cemetery in Northfield.
