John P. Conn

John P. Conn, age 66 of Fairborn, passed away Saturday January 15,2022 surround by family. He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Conn; granddaughter, Sophia Nelson; sister, Angela Dishman; and mother, Yvonne Conn.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years Kathleen Conn; children, Becki (Andy) Nelson, Lauren Dennis, Jacob (Audrey) Conn, Christy Shofner, and Josh (Emily) Shofner; brother, Chester Jr. (Bev) Conn; and sister, Melanie Conn.
His grandchildren, Madelyn Nelson, Cheyenne Shofner, Paul Nelson, Lillian Dennis, Abby Stewart, Elliott Dennis, Jacob (Bub) Conn, Oliver & Sawyer Shofner, & Brooklyn Shofner; as well as numerous family and friends.
John started working as a stone mason with his father and brother at an early age. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 711 where he achieved his 32nd°. He became a highly certified ASE Master Mechanic and retired from Jamie's Tire Service in 2017.
John was a motorcycle enthusiast who loved nothing more than to ride the back roads, The Dragons Tail and the Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway. He loved being outdoors, camping, and just enjoying life.
He was a dedicated family man who loved his children & grandchildren more that anything in the world. He was a man of few words but could always offer great advice or solutions to problems. He would be the first to offer help if needed and the last to leave. His smile could light up a room. He will be truly missed and forever in the hearts of all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday January 29, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn. The family will receive friends from 11:30 A.M. until the time of the Masonic Service.
