John Connor Obituary
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late John P. Connor and Katherine (Nee) Connor. John was raised in South Boston and was a graduate of the former Miramar Seminary High School in Duxbury. John also graduated from Northeastern University receiving his bachelor degree in finance.
John was first employed with Boston Edison Company for two years, he would then leave Boston Edison to join the U.S. Navy. Upon his completion of his military service, he then rejoined Boston Edison as an accountant and supervisor, he was employed for forty three years.
In 1994 John was ordained as a Deacon with the Boston Diocese, a calling that he proudly served for many years at several churches, St. Mary of the Hills in Milton, St. Ann's Church and Our Lady of Assumption Church in Marshfield and Holy Cross Church in Easton.
He enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and traveling to Ireland.
Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his four children, Kathleen Connor-Litchman and her husband Gary of Mansfield, Brian Connor and his wife Michelle of Brockton, Kevin Connor of Stoughton and Faith Connor of West Bridgewater; five grandchildren, Timothy, Samantha, Amy, Connor and Sean; two great grandson's Jack and Mason Litchman. He was brother of the late Margaret O'Connor, Catherine Dowling and Michael J. Connor.
Funeral mass for John will be celebrated at Holy Cross Church, 225 Purchase Street, Easton on Saturday, December 27th at 11:00am. A period of visitation will be held prior to his mass at the Holy Cross Church from 9:00 to 10:30am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. His interment will be held privately by his family at a later date.
I lieu of flowers donations in John's name may be made to HopeHealth Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904 or to Holy Cross Church, 225 Purchase Street, Easton, MA 02375.
Arrangements are being held be the Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Easton
