Obituary published on Legacy.com by Salerno's Galewood Chapels on Apr. 19, 2025.
John M. Conti, age 72, formerly of Elmwood Park, passed unexpectedly and peacefully, on Tuesday, April 16th, 2025. Cherished husband of Judith Conti for 40 years. Loving son of the late Elmer and the late June Conti. Loving father to Nicholas (Kassie) Brandenborg-Conti and Joseph Conti; loving stepfather to Frank (Jessica) Consiglio. Beloved grandpa to Cole, Gia, and Frankie Consiglio and John 'Jack' and Teddy Brandenborg-Conti. Brother to Stephen, Christine, and Kim. Dear brother-in-law to Lauren (Joseph) Pinello and the late Joseph Villano. John was a proud former firefighter servicing the Elmwood Park community for 20 years. John cherished spending time with family, especially his five grandchildren. He also loved watching sports, tinkering on projects in the garage, family parties and holidays, and cheering on his grandchildren in various sports. Memories of John will be forever treasured by his family and dearest friends, and all that loved him. Visitation services will be held for friends and family on Monday, April 21st at Salerno Galewood Chapels from 3-8pm. I´m sorry to hear of the passing of John and I offer my deepest sympathy to his family. We grew up together as did his father and my father. I´ll always remember the fishing and hunting we went on with other firefighters from Elmwood Park.

Rest well John, we shared a lot of good times together that will not be forgotten.
