John Wesley Cooper, 49, died Tuesday, December 16, 2025, in Wayne, Nebraska. John graduated from Colby High School in 1995, from there John wore many hats ranging from tire tech to kitchen supervisor. Most of all the hat he wore best was beloved father, brother, and son.
Throughout his life, John enjoyed an array of activities whether it be spending time with family, going on adventures or yelling at the T.V trying to coach the KU basketball team.
John was preceded in death by his wife Andria Cooper.
He is survived by parents Galen Cooper, of Goodland, KS and Pat and C.W. Hamilton II, of Levant, KS; brother Trey Hamilton of Colby; daughters, Devon Cooper, of Phoenix, AZ and Skylar Cooper, of Santa Cruz, CA; one grandson, Zeddicus, and girlfriend Chrystal Good.
Visitation will be at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby from 12:00 pm- 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 23, 2025, with a graveside service at 2:00 pm in Beulah Cemetery, Colby. Memorials may be made to Providence Medical Center Home Health Care & Hospice and sent in care of Baalmann Mortuary, PO Box 391, Colby, KS 67701.
