John Wayne Copple - age 75 of Braymer, MO, passed away Wednesday evening, August 20, 2025 at Golden Age Nursing Home in Braymer, MO. John was born on January 3, 1950, in Braymer, the son of Murl and Anna Lee (Adams) Copple. He proudly served in the U.S. Army for three years, where he was stationed in Panama, El Paso, TX, and did his basic training at Fort Leonardwood. He also served his community as the Mayor of Cowgill and was a proud member of the Braymer VFW. John was a man who never met a stranger. He cherished time with family, loved his dogs and enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, and golfing. Known for his ornery sense of humor, stubborn streak and generous spirit; he brought laughter wherever he went. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

John was preceded in death by his parents; his partner, Beverly Copple; his sister, Mary Barron; his aunt, Marian Adams; his niece, Amy Barron; and his nephew, Danny Yuille. He is survived by his children: Terri Bolling of Braymer, MO; John Copple Jr. of Braymer, MO; Brandom Copple of Braymer, MO; Joshua Copple (Jessica) of Lexington, MO; and Brianna Kline (Terry) of Hartville, MO. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and siblings: Jerry Copple (Valaria) of Maryville, MO; Mike Copple (Carol) of Braymer, MO; Stacy McGuire (Mike) of Braymer, MO; and Teresa Sarcee of Windsor, MO. John will also be missed by his beloved dogs, Panda and Beauty.
