JOHN J. DAILEY
John J. Dailey of Tewksbury passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025 at his home.
He is the son of the late Joseph F. Dailey and Elizabeth (McGrath) Dailey. He was married to the late Mary Etta (Davis) Dailey. He is survived by his chidren, Anne Marie Morgan and her husband, Tim of Nashua, NH, Capt. John P. Dailey of the Hyannis Fire Dept. and his wife, Caitlin of Hyannis, Matthew Dailey and his wife, Jana of East Boston, MA. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Lauren Morgan, Sarah Morgan and Patrick Dailey; and his sister, Jean Grabau and her husband, Hans of Milton, MA, he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He is the brother of the late Mary Dailey, Louise Costello, Anna Alarcon and William Dailey. He was also predeceased by a son, James Dailey. He graduated from Boston College and worked for many years at Textron Systems Division in Wilmington MA.
He was also a member of the Mass Air National Guard for 22 years, where he was an Assistant Chief of the 102nd CE Fire Dept. He received the Massachusetts Medal of Merit in 1979 for rescuing passengers from a civilian aircraft in a hazardous and volatile situation that crashed during takeoff from the Gulfport Municipal Airport in Gulfport, Mississippi.
He was also a member of the St. William's Church Men's Club in Tewksbury. He enjoyed spending summers at Granger Pond Campground in Denmark, Maine with his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the American Cancer Society at: or by mail to: American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
On Wednesday, June 25, 2025 all are welcome to attend his calling hours from 4-7 p.m. at Tewksbury Funeral Home, 1 Dewey Street, Tewksbury 978-851-2061.
His funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday morning at 10 a.m., followed by procession to Tewksbury Cemetery for burial.

I am so sad to hear of Jacks passing , I was his yoga teacher at the Tewksbury´s Senior center. He will be missed. Rest in peace Jack .
