Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend passed from this earth on Sunday, October 31st, 2021.

John was born February 23rd, 1931 in Youngstown, Ohio to Richard Morgan and Hannah Maria David. He was the youngest of three children. As a young child, he and his family moved to Abergavenny, Wales where he was raised. In 1952, John returned to America where he settled in Ohio.

He met and married Alvina Bendig. They had three daughters. He began his active Army career during this time, later transitioning to the Army Reserves. While in the Army he was a member of the 127 ABN (Airborne) Engineers Battalion, Company D as well as the 82nd Airborne Division. While serving, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Parachutist Badge. He received an Honorable Discharge after years of service. As life progressed, he and Alvina chose to pursue different paths.

He was an active member of many Masonic Orders, where he met and married his wife, Patricia Bahrt. They were happily involved in many Masonic organizations where he served as Worshipful Master four times and Presiding Officer of five other bodies.

Patsy,
Got your notice and was so sorry to hear of your loss. It seemed like yesterday when you and I were talking about the special man you had met and later you both were married and happy. Then, while thinking more I realized that it had been over 40 years as Rog and I just celebrated our 45th anniversary. I remember all the fun times we had at your Mom and Dad's house. It seems like the Ballou's, Bahrt's, Parker's are becoming smaller and smaller all the time. Hearing that you will move to Utah was a shocker but then, thinking about it, there isn't any family around the Ohio area...so why not? I hope you find peace and friendship, good health and anything good that you want. Any time you head our way be sure to look us up! Lots of love sent to you.
