John Robert DeBono, 80, of Aurora passed from this earth Saturday, January 17, 2026 surrounded by loved ones.
John was born February 25, 1945 to Ted and Iva Irene (Sheldon) DeBono in Daly City, California. He joined the United States Navy and retired after 23 years of service. He was united in marriage October 29, 1976 to Cheryl Meadowcroft in Honolulu, Hawaii. John graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Devry, he was retired from Texas Instruments after many years as an equipment operator. John was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parent’s, Ted and Iva DeBono.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 49 years, Cheryl DeBono of Aurora; his son, Joseph DeBono and wife Rocio of Ft. Worth; his granddaughter, Kora DeBono of Ft. Worth; extended family and a host of friends.
