John "JD" DiNapoli

Long Branch - John "JD" DiNapoli, 73 passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 7, 2021 at his home in Long Branch. John was born on April 15,1948 in Clifton to Dominick and Helen DiNapoli. In 1976, John relocated to the Jersey Shore where he became part owner of Footnotes in Deal. Having an extreme passion for golf, John worked as General Manager at Twin Brook Golf Center in Neptune. John was also a long time member of Jumping Brook Country Club where he and his friends formed the "20 and Out" club which consisted of a group of close friends who golfed and traveled together. Having a love for design, John started his own home renovation business where he was really able to show off his talents.

John and his wife Abby of 16 years, enjoyed spending time with their dogs, golfing, traveling, boating and listening to Motown. John also enjoyed spending time with his 2 sons, Jon Michael and Nick as well as his 3 grandchildren, Nicholas, Ava and Tanner. He was known for his quick wit, charm and infectious personality where he was always putting on a comedy show for his grand kids.

John is survived by his wife, Abby and mother-in-law Carol Allen. His sons, Jon and Nick, and their mother Linda. He is also survived by son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Jess, his 3 grandchildren, Nicholas, Ava and Tanner, Sister Darlene and nieces, Dari and Robin.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 at First United Methodist Church of Oakhurst located at 103 Monmouth Rd Oakhurst, NJ 07755 at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA at monmouthcountyspca.org.
