Mr. John Timothy Dockum, age 86, of McMinnville, TN passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Ascension St. Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN. He was born on November 18, 1938 in Los Angeles, CA to the late Russell William Dockum and Dorothy Marie Archdale Dockum. He is a member of the People of the Living God community. He loved being a pilot and flying, and was a jack of all trades – a man who could do just about anything. He was an active self-employed builder up until the time of his passing.

Survivors include his children Dennis (Bridget) Dockum and Michael (Janet) Dockum, grandchildren Hollie (Darrin) Baker, Bethanie Dockum, Kimberlee (Brandon) Weaver, Kristin (David) Lamb, Timothy (Katelyn) Dockum, Jennifer (Stephen) Fults, Dalton Beaman, and Beau Beaman, numerous great grandchildren, and sisters Loretta (Wesley) Fountain and Adina Pugh. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Russell Edwin Dockum, and his wife Frances Ruby "Anne" Dockum whom he married on December 22, 1957. John was a dedicated and loving husband who adored his wife and thought of her until he drew his last breath.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at McMinnville Funeral Home. A graveside service for Mr. John Timothy Dockum is scheduled for 12:00 P.M. Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Homeland Acres Cemetery. Al King will officiate. Interment will immediately follow the service. After the graveside service, the family will receive friends at Cedars of Lebanon School. There will be no visitation at the funeral home on Sunday.
