Born on February 22, 1937 in Portland, Missouri, in the back seat of a 1934 Chevrolet, John grew up in a log cabin in Missouri along with his 5 sisters. John retired after 37 years from Skipworth Construction, many days working from daylight to dark. He served as president for the Local Labor Union #1168. John was a devoted member of the Faith Free Will Baptist Church. He prided himself on being in Church every time the doors were open, if at all possible. Brother Richard Rust affectionately referred to John as "Old Faithful". John never met a stranger and delighted in making people laugh. He always joked and had many poems and songs he made up. He could remember and quote them to the very end. He will be loved and missed by many.
John was proceeded in Death by his father, Jack Drullinger; his mother, Mattie Drullinger Newsome; his loving wife of 62 years, Doris Henderson Drullinger; his daughter, Brenda Drullinger Goldfein; sisters, Cora Lee Wood and Mary Sue Holst; grandsons, Craig Schroeder and Ronnie Drullinger Jr.
