John Charles Efaw, 61, of Mogadore, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home, in Dalton.
John was born March 29, 1964, in Kent, Ohio to Gary and Bonnie {Heaton} Efaw.
He married Mary Jo {Baker} on July 26, 1985.
He enjoyed playing drums and played in several local bands in Ohio and Tennessee. John loved spending time with his family. He loved his animals. John was known for his sense of humor, he had a quick wit about him.
John will be deeply missed by his wife Mary Jo; brother Robert (Jennifer) Kerns; sisters Brenda Kerns, Janet Stanley, Dawn (Jason) Hostettler; aunt Donna Heaton; nephews Joseph Kerns, William Stanley, Ethan Hostettler, and Brody Hostettler; nieces Marlo (Ricky) Holderbaum, Erin Stanley, and Caitlin Kerns.
John was preceded in death by his parents, brother Geoffery Efaw, and stepfather Kenneth Johnson.
