John “Jack” Eichler, 87, of Galesburg, Illinois, died peacefully at 8:43 a.m. Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Marigold Health Care and Rehab, Galesburg.
Jack was born March 12, 1938 in New York, New York, the son of Mary Audrey Eichler. He was raised by his aunt and uncle and godparents, Mary Eloise (Eichler) and George Adkins. They both preceded him in death.
A funeral mass for Jack will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2025 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Galesburg. Father Jeffrey Stirniman will officiate. Jack will be buried next to his aunt and uncle at St. Columba’s Catholic Cemetery, Newport, RI.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg, Illinois.
