John Elliott Obituary
John M. Elliott, age 71, died Wednesday, December 17, 2025. Born in Stamford, Connecticut, he was the son of John Matthews Elliott and Julia Rose Elliott. As a baby in Stamford, he won a photo contest through Loring Studios. He later moved to Stratford and was a graduate of Stratford High School and attended Housatonic Community College. John was a black belt in karate and worked most of his career in security. He will be remembered as a very intelligent man with lots of friends, who was charming and loved by women wherever he went. Survivors include his devoted sister, Cheryl Griffin, brother, Brian Elliott, nephews, Anthony Paul and Ian Griffin, and great-niece, Mariah Griffin. So sad to hear of Johnny's passing. He was one of my best friends during and after high school. We had a ball together - many laughs and many good times. I still have a belt he gave me - i gave him mine, he gave me his. Every time I saw him through the years he always had that sparkle in his eyes and an awesome smile. My condolences to the family. Johnny was a good one.

My sincere condolences to Cheryl and Brian and family at the passing of Johnny your brother and my friend as a youth. I recall sleeping over, eating good food, swimming in your pool and especially how kind your Mom was to me. Living right across the street Johnny and I played ball in the lot on the corner of Larkin Court often. When I moved there so long ago Johnny told me I was his first white friend which I never forgot. I will have my Pastor add his name to Sunday's prayer list. May God bless and keep Johnny and comfort all that loved him.
