John Engel Obituary
John Ervin "Jack" Engel, 88 years old of Cecil Township, died Saturday, January 20, 2018 in Concordia Hospice of Washington, Donnell House.
He was born March 13, 1929 in Cecil Township, Son of the late Ervin Wayne and Leona Rhys Engel.
He was a member of Venice Presbyterian Church, Chartiers Lodge #297 F&AM, Shrine and Eastern Star, former member of the Millers Run Grange.
He worked at Universal Cyclops steel, Bridgeville and as a Bus Driver for Canon-McMillan School District. He also was a greeter at Coleman Funeral Home and Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services.
Surviving are two sons, Bruce Engel, and Jeff (Betty) Engel both of Rockwood, two daughters, Pam (Gary) Talpas of McMurray, and Kathy (Tom) Weaver of Canonsburg, 7 grandchildren, Kyra (Rick), Angel, Jeremy (Brandy), Tommy (Mary), Joshua, Daria (Randy), and Ben, and 24 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Shirley Engel, grandson, Patrick Engel, and two sisters in infancy.
Friends will be received 2 to 8 P.M., Monday, January 22, 2018 at the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road (Rt.50) Cecil, where services will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Gary Chorpenning officiating.
Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Venice Presbyterian Church 3694 Millers Run Road, McDonald, PA 15057 or the Concordia Hospice of Washington, Donnell House, 10 Leet Street, Washington, PA 15301.
