John T. Feldkamp, 65, of Concord Twp., passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024, at his home.
Born Feb. 24, 1959, in Painesville, he lived in Wickliffe before moving to Concord Twp.
John was a member of Kirtland Christian Fellowship Church, Man Up and Promise Keepers. He retired as the head of maintenance at Driftwood. John had previously worked at Landerhaven as the head groundskeeper and Masco Machine as a machine assembler. He helped build St. Noel Church hall and Body of Christ Church. John was always helping others in need.
He had the best once in a lifetime experience being the bombardier of a WWII B-29 bomber, "Doc".
John was the beloved husband of Donna (nee Ewaska) Feldkamp; loving father of Christopher Michael Feldkamp, Joy Kathleen Taylor, Christopher John Taylor, Nathaniel Isaac Feldkamp and Vanessa Noel (nee Feldkamp) Henley; cherished grandfather of Austin, Samuel, Sophia, Margaret, Elijah, Isaac and Isabelle; son of Dorothy (nee Intihar) Feldkamp; brother of Connie Streble, Rose Sizler, Ed Feldkamp III, Liz Jones, Terri Short, Mary Feldkamp, Mark Feldkamp and Faith Ritchie; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Edward J. Feldkamp, Jr.; and daughter, Alicia Annie Feldkamp.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 13, at Kirtland Christian Fellowship Church, 10001 Chillicothe Rd., Kirtland, with a Funeral Service at 10 a.m. Friday, June 14, at Kirtland Christian Fellowship Church. Pastor Tim French will be officiating. Burial to follow at Mentor Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in John's name may be made to Nationwide Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 16810, Columbus, OH, 43216-6810, or Kirtland Christian Fellowship Church, 10001 Chillicothe Rd., Kirtland, OH 44094.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
