****OBITUARY SUBMITTED BY THE FAMILY****
John Louis Fischer, III, age 76, of Campbellsburg, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at his residence. He was born June 20, 1949 in LaGrange, Kentucky, the son of John Louis, Jr. and Lillian Williams Fischer.
John was a life-long farmer, spending more than 50 years as a dairy farmer. He served as a District Delegate and District Resolution member for Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), and a board member of the Henry County Farm Bureau. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church, where he enjoyed to participate in Sunday School, men's breakfasts, and fish fries. He was a proud 1967 graduate of Oldham County High School. When John was not farming, he loved spending time with family, friends, neighbors, and pulling tractors with the Kentucky Indiana Truck/Tractor Pullers Association (KITPA).
He will be deeply missed by his family including his wife of 55 years, Linda Mings Fischer of Campbellsburg; two sons, John Stuart Fischer and Jason Fischer, both of Campbellsburg; one daughter, Sarah (Shawn) Golden of New Castle; five sisters: Ellen Banks of Campbellsburg, Susan (Tom) Arvin of Smithfield, Nancy Barbati of Louisville, Lauren (Doug) King of Campbellsburg, and Elizabeth Gonterman of Campbellsburg; fourteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service officiated by Bro. Travis Hearne will be held on September 6th, 2025 at 2:00 at Providence Baptist Church, 51 Louden Lane, Campbellsburg, KY 40011.
