With heavy hearts, the family of John F. Flynn announce his passing on October 27, 2025 at the age of 63.
Born in Evergreen Park, IL to Eugene Flynn and Phyllis (nee Platt) Flynn, grew up in Alsip with his siblings Bill, Tom, Jim and Paul. Graduated from Shepard High School, then became a longtime resident of Oak Forest, IL where he devoted 32 years as a truck driver for Galloy & Van Etten Inc./Murphy Marble and was a proud member of the Teamsters Local #786.
John married Debbie September 2, 1990. He found great love and pride for his son Nick and was a passionate fan of the Chicago Bears, music and having a good time with family and friends.
John is survived by his wife Debbie (nee Zolty) Flynn, his son Nick, brothers; Tom (Kim), Jim, Paul (Alisa), his nieces and nephews; Andrew (Dayleen), Katie, Monica (TJ), Ryan, Hannah (Paul), Patrick & Sean and great nephew Nathan & great niece Loretta and many cousins on the Flynn side.
He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene & Phyllis Flynn and his brother Bill.
John will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to P.A.W.S. of Tinley Park, IL or N.A.W.S. of Mokena, IL.
Family will receive friends Friday Nov. 7th 4:00 PM until time of Memorial Service at 7:30 PM at the Hickey Memorial Chapel 4201 W. 147th St. Midlothian, IL.
