John T Forestano

John T. Forestano, age 71 of the Parlin section of Sayreville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Complete Care at Marcella in Burlington Township. Born in Brooklyn, NY, John was raised in Colonia and resided in Parlin since 1989.

John was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Victories Roman Catholic Church in Sayreville. Prior to his retirement, he worked for 37 years as a custodian with the Sayreville Board of Education. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He was a devoted brother, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed.

He is predeceased by his parents Anthony and Helen Forestano and his siblings Thomas Forestano and Laura Kelly. Surviving are his sister Maryann Perri; his nieces and nephews Christie Luisi and her husband Joe, Michael Perri and his wife Jamie, Kaitlyn Kelly, Collrane Forestano, Cassidy Kelly and Roy Forestano; his great nephews Preston and Paxton Luisi and Jace Perri and his sister-in-law Diane Forestano.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 10:15am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with an 11am Mass at Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park & Mausoleums in East Brunswick.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Monday, February 16, 2026, from 4pm to 8pm.
