John Ray Forsee

John Forsee, 74, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 6. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

John was born on October 8, 1950, in Fulton, Kentucky, to Earl and Reba Forsee. He earned a bachelor's degree in agribusiness from Murray State University and spent his career as a traveling salesman, working primarily in the dairy industry.

An avid train enthusiast, John dedicated many years as a docent at the Historic Railpark and Train Museum of Bowling Green. During the holiday season, he brought joy to children of all ages by portraying Santa Claus. Above all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

John and Kathleen "Kathy" Forsee were married on June 12, 1972.

He is survived by his children, Roy Forsee and Kari Carr, and by his son-in-law, Mike Carr. His beloved grandchildren are Cadence, Savannah, Captain, and Sadie-Rae Carr. He is also survived by his companion, Mary Lynne James; his siblings, Joe Forsee and Jean Clanton; and many well-loved nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Forsee; his parents, Earl and Reba Forsee; his brother Bob Forsee; and his grandchild MaKenzie Carr.

Visitation will be held for John on Thursday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Friday all at J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel. His funeral service will be at 10:00 am Friday at the J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel, with burial to follow in the Fairview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Historic Railpark and Train Museum of Bowling Green.

He will be remembered always and deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
