John A. Fratus Jr., a beloved son, husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a long illness on April 17th. Born on August 27, 1964, in Plymouth, Massachusetts, John was the cherished son of John A. and Claire (Perry) Fratus Sr. He spent his entire life in the town he loved, where he created countless memories and lasting friendships.
John was a proud graduate of Plymouth-Carver High School, where he developed a passion for sports that would stay with him throughout his life. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing hockey, a sport that brought him joy and camaraderie. His enthusiasm for sports extended beyond the rink; he was an avid fan, always cheering for his favorite teams with unwavering loyalty.
An outdoor enthusiast at heart, John found solace in nature. He loved fishing and spending time outdoors, where he could appreciate the beauty of the world around him. His adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors were infectious, inspiring those around him to embrace the simple pleasures of life.
John is survived by his wife, Edna A. (Albert) Fratus. He leaves behind his sons, Jay Fratus of Florida and Joseph Fratus of Plymouth, as well as his daughter, Jessica Ramos of Texas.
A private graveside service will be held at Vine Hills Cemetery in Plymouth, where family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate John's life. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Homes in Plymouth.
John A. Fratus Jr. will be remembered for his kind heart, his love for his family, and his zest for life. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
