John Freeman

John Freeman, 54 of Pleasanton, Kansas passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at St. Luke's Plaza Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Mullinax Funeral Home, Drexel Chapel (816-657-4400). Graveside services will follow at 2:00 pm Saturday in Sharon Cemetery, Drexel. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. John Michael Freeman was born March 23, 1971 at the Bitburg, Germany Air Force Base Hospital, the son of John and Judith Shideler Freeman. The family returned to the US when John was three years old. After living in several areas of the country with his family, John attended high school in Banning, California. Following high school, the family moved a few more times before settling in Missouri to be closer to family I 2001. John would then move to Pleasanton, Kansas in 2013, where he resided until his passing.
John was an avid comic book collector. His collection dates back to when he was in grade school, and continued through his life time. Another one of John's hobbies or interests was walking, he could often be seen strolling the streets of Pleasanton or visiting the parks.
John was preceded in death by his father John W. Freeman, Jr. and by his grandparents. He is survived by his mother Judith Freeman, brother Raymond Brocker, along with aunts, uncles, and many cousins.
