John Frohn Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapels - Waltham on Dec. 7, 2025.
John "Jack" Charles Frohn III

Of Norwood, passed away unexpectedly on Thanksgiving morning, November 27, 2025, in his home at the age of 80.

Born on September 7, 1945, in Cambridge to the late Mary R. (McNally) Alexander and John C. Frohn II, Jack was raised in Belmont and Lexington and educated at Boston College before settling in Norwood following his marriage to Mary Kavolius. Together they raised their family on Silver Street where Jack lived for the majority of his life.

A lifelong car enthusiast, Jack spent many years in automobile sales and wholesale, building a career fueled by his genuine passion for cars. He was happiest with a set of keys in his hand-buying them, selling them, tinkering with them, or simply admiring the fine details under the hood. Weekends often found him in the driveway working on a new project or tuned into racing. He owned more cars than most people ever should, but Jack's curiosity stretched far beyond the garage.

He had a deep appreciation for technology, cameras, and anything he could take apart and put back together again. Earlier in life, he worked in ticket sales, crossing paths with rockstars and legends-a chapter he'd recount with a sparkle in his eye. He also spent several years as a leatherworker and tanner, owning a small shop where craftsmanship and creativity came together. It was during this time he met his wife, and as a wedding gift, he made her a hand-painted leather jacket-one of many signs of his thoughtful attention to detail.

Jack will be remembered for his warm spirit, his meticulous hands, his deep appreciation for the things he loved, and the quiet, steady way he showed up for the people who mattered most.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary A. (Kavolius) Frohn, in November of 2017.

Jack is survived by his loving daughters Jennifer C. Titcomb and her husband Ian J.A. Titcomb of Bourne, and Jaclyn C. Diffily and her husband Brian P. Diffily of Mt. Pleasant, SC. He was the cherished grandfather "Pa Jack" of Weston R. Diffily, Emmett L. Diffily, Valentino J.J. Titcomb and Siena M.A. Titcomb, and dear brother of Paula Brincklow and her husband Fred, and the late Richard Frohn and Stephen Frohn. In addition, he is survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, close and dear friends
