Ivan Marrero Obituary
Born in Waltham, MA. to the late Marcelino Marrero Sr. and Carmen J. Rivera, Ivan was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, and friend.
Strong-willed and known for his great sense of humor. Family was always his top priority, and his children and grandchildren were truly his world. Hard working and reliable, Ivan worked as a Production Manager for Worthen Industries for many years with commitment and dedication. An avid Boston sports fan, he loved cheering for the Patriots, Celtics, and Red Sox. No matter where life took him, Ivan never met a stranger-he had a gift for connecting with others and turning acquaintances into lifelong friends. His jovial spirit, warm heart, and deep love for his family and friends will be profoundly missed.
Predeceased by his loving parents.
Ivan is survived by his beloved children: Jaleena L. Marrero; Janiah L. Marrero and her husband Iuslei DeSousa, of Fitchburg, MA; Jilliana L. Marrero; and Jahvari L. Marrero of Marlborough, MA. He also leaves behind two cherished grandchildren, the apples of his eye-Xzavier Marrero and Annielise Marrero Jimenez. He is also survived by his dear siblings: Marilyn and Milagros Marrero, both of Waltham; Marcelino Marrero Jr. and his wife, Joanie, of Marlborough; and Joseph Marrero and his wife Jennifer of Waltham. Ivan will also be remembered with love by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and close friends.
His spirit, laughter, and love will live on in all who knew him.
Friends and family are respectfully invited to gather and remember Ivan during visiting hours on Thursday, December 18th from 6PM- 8PM in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco and Son Memorial Chapels, located at 773 Moody Street Waltham, MA. Parking attendants will be on duty.
A celebration of Ivan's Life will begin at 8PM.
Those who wish to pay their respects to Ivan and his family but are unable to attend are welcome to sign the family's guestbook at www.BrascoFuneralhome.com
