John Sterling Frost, Jr, age 74 of Mexico Beach, Florida passed away at home on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. He was born to the late John Sterling Frost, Sr and Emily Frances Oehmig Frost in Nashville, TN. He joins those who passed before him, including his parents and his younger brother, Frank Frost.
Sterling lived a full life, working hard but making time for friends and family. He dedicated many years to Flow Construction, earning the respect of colleagues, friends and clients alike before his well-deserved retirement.
Since retiring to Mexico Beach from Tennessee, he embraced his new home with the same love of life. He was known for his fun loving personality, finding pleasure in the simple things in life… golfing, fishing and the camaraderie of family, friends and neighbors.
Sterling is survived by his loving wife, Libby Frost, who remained his steadfast companion through life. He is survived by his son, Derek Salter (Amanda) and granddaughters, Ivy and Olivia Salter of Hendersonville Tennessee. He also leaves his brother, Mike Frost (Carole) of Bentonville, AR, his sisters, Sheila Anderson (Dean) of Centerton, AR and Wenona Young (Richard) of Pulaski, TN and his sister-in-law, Linda (Frank Frost) and their families.
Sterling will be remembered as a man of laughter, who cherished family, friends and faith. His spirit remains a part of all who were touched by him and his memory will be lovingly carried on by those who loved him.
