John Galatea

John Galatea passed away Sunday January 11th. He was surrounded by his family and loving wife of 64 years. John grew up in Los Gatos, attended Los Gatos Grammar School and Los Gatos High School. He lettered in both Track and Basketball and was an avid athlete. Upon graduation from High School, he enrolled at San Jose State graduating with a BS in Business. He joined IBM in finance and spent 33 years with the company.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lou and his three children: John Galatea (Karen), Diane Krell (Andy) and Karen Galatea. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Madeline Webb, Blake Galatea, Reese Johnson, Alexa Galatea and Olivia Galatea and survived by two great grandchildren: Coretta Webb and Vona Webb.

Family and friends are invited to join the Galatea Family in honoring John on Friday, January 23rd at 10:30am, followed by a reception from 11:30am-12:30pm at Darling Fischer Los Gatos.

A private interment will take place with immediate family only.
