In Loving Memory of John Arlen Goodwin

September 19, 1953 - September 20, 2025

John Arlen Goodwin, 72, of Kensett, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 20, 2025. He was born on September 19, 1953, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Noel and Dorothy Goodwin.

On April 18, 2020, John married Nola, in Kensett, Arkansas. Together they built a life filled with love.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Noel and Dorothy Goodwin; his brother, Danny Goodwin; and his sister, Carolyn Hughes.

He is survived by his wife, Nola; his children, Michelle Clem (Mike) of Heber Springs, AR, Shaun Goodwin (Robin) of Richmond, KY, Josh Goodwin (Krystal) of Vilonia, AR, Holly Davidson of Lexington, TN, Ashley Davidson-Wayman of Noblesville, IN, Jonathan Goodwin (Crystal) of Higginson, AR, Samantha Littlepage (Jason) of Hot Springs, AR, and Kevin Goodwin (Lola) of Kensett, AR. He was a proud grandfather to Michaela, Alexander, Christopher, Briana, Kyra, Alexia, Zoey, Izayah, Nova, Zayden, Drayven, Alonna, Braylon, Candice, Chase, Cyann, Emilly, Haley, Emma, Ashtyn, Malachi, Kathryn, Taran, Gabriel, and Brody, and a great-grandfather to Jase and Blaiklee.

He is also survived by his brothers, James Goodwin (Karla) and Doyle Goodwin of Searcy, AR, Noel Goodwin Jr. (Connie) of Garner, AR, and Dennis Hughes of Griffithville, AR.

John was an avid Razorback fan, spending his weekends cheering on the Hogs! He enjoyed digging up arrowheads, fishing, and spending quality time with his children and grandchildren.

His life was centered around his family. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, and a grandfather whose heart swelled with pride for each of his children and grandchildren. His legacy is one of kindness, strength, and unconditional love.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Cole Funeral Home in Kensett, AR. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025, also at Cole Funeral Home.
