John Thomas Gowen

John Thomas Gowen, of Dallas, Texas, entered into rest on November 30, 2025. Born on September 16, 1948, to Thomas Jefferson and Anna Fernell Gowen.
John married the love of his life, Janice Zoeller Gowen, on July 3, 1984, in Sierra Vista, Arizona.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Janice; his children, Anna Gowen, John Gowen II, Matt Gowen, and Judy Palmeri and her husband Jay; and his brother, Thomas Jefferson Gowen and wife Robin. John was a proud grandfather to Haley Spears, Tori Palmeri, Jaycee Palmeri, Stephen Gowen, Faith Gray, and Lillianna Wells; and an even prouder great-grandfather.
John is preceded in death by his mother, Anna Fernell Gowen; his brothers, Ricky Gowen and Gary Gowen; his sister, Barbara Troxell, and her husband Gary; and his grandson, Atreyu Gowen.
He was a man of few words, but the ones he did say, they were impactful.
