John David Greenhoe

John David Greenhoe passed away peacefully with his beloved family by his side on November 10, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on March 12, 1945, in Lansing, Michigan, John's life was a testament to dedication, profound faith, and service to his community.
John is survived by his cherished wife of 41 years, Rhoda Lee Way-Greenhoe, who was his partner in every aspect of life. Together, they raised a family that includes their son, Mike (Jenifer) Greenhoe, and daughter, Michelle (Jeff) Bottum. His legacy continues through his eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, with another on the way, who brought him immeasurable joy. John was a family man at heart, and his extensive family, including numerous cousins, will remember him as a guiding light in their lives.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Carleton and Lola (Stimson) Greenhoe, his son David Greenhoe, and his infant son Samuel John Greenhoe. His family takes comfort in knowing that he has been reunited with his loved ones in eternal peace.
He was a graduate of Sexton High School's class of 1964; John's work ethic was evident from an early age. He dedicated over 50 years to the dairy business, contributing his expertise to companies such as Sealtest, Lansing Dairy, Melody Farms, and finally, Quality Dairy. Even in his later years, he continued to serve his community by working part-time at Barker Leik Funeral Home.
John's commitment extended beyond his professional life. He was a devout member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church and an active member of the Knights of Columbus. His strong faith was not only a personal compass but also an inspiration to others, as he enjoyed reading and studying religion, always seeking to deepen his understanding.
Beyond his work and faith, John had a passion for photography and fishing. He had a keen eye for capturing life's fleeting moments and found peace by the water with a fishing rod in hand. His quest for knowledge was constant, and he was always eager to explore the world around him.
In accordance with John's wishes, a private Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 14, 2025, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 3020 S. Washington Ave, Lansing, MI 48910.
